Ardyce JohnsonArdyce Mary Johnson, age 86 of Tracy, passed away Tuesday, June 2, 2015 at Prairie View Senior Living in Tracy. Private family services were held. Private family burial was in the Tracy Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Ardyce Mary (Moat) Johnson was born May 11, 1929 on the family farm in Balaton, Minnesota, to Harvey and Martha (Anderson) Moat. She was baptized in the Lutheran faith and attended country school near Balaton. She married Gordon Johnson in 1950 and they were married for 46 years. While living in Garvin, she was a stay at home mom and spent most of her years babysitting for area children and cleaning homes. In 1985, she and Gordon moved to Tracy. Before she became legally blind, she enjoyed crocheting, sewing, and embroidery.

Grateful for sharing her life are her daughter, JoAnn (Charles) Majeres and granddaughter Melissa (Matt) Gleisner; son Jerry and his children Samantha and Zachary Johnson; sister Arlene Johansen of Slayton; and brother Wayne Moat of Silver Bay. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Gordon in 1996, and six siblings.

    Jerry and JoAnn . I’m so sorry for your lose of your mom . I will always remember both of your prents always caring for us Garvin guys and opening there home to us. They will always be in my heart as the true Garvin family and helping us know that we could do great in are life’s as they did in there’s and understand what happiest was to give back to others.
