Barbara Hemish Barbara “Barb” A. Hemish age 84 of Marshall, formerly of Tracy, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2016 at her home from complications of Parkinson’s and Lewy body dementia.  Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 13 at the First Presbyterian Church in Tracy.  Visitation is 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Area Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday.  Burial is in the Walnut Grove Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Barbara Anne (Pfluger) Hemish was born August 24, 1931 in Frederic, Wisconsin to Sam and Tressa (Lewis) Pfluger.  She graduated from Frederic High School in 1950.  On May 17, 1957 Barb was united in marriage to Franklin Hemish.  Following their marriage, they made their home in South St. Paul.  In 1966, they moved to a farm northeast of Tracy where they raised their family.  Barb was a member of the Redwood County Extension and active in Bible study.  She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning, freezing, baking, sewing, and crafts.

Barb is survived by her husband Franklin; children: DeAnn (David) Vogl of Tracy, Kendall (Corinne) Hemish of St. Michael, and Janell Hemish (James Green) of Tracy; grandchildren: Kristin Vogl, Kailey Hemish, and Steven Hemish; siblings: Corinne Holland, Judy (Glenn) Dreier, Robert (JoAnn) Pfluger, Gary Pfluger, and James Pfluger (Gloria Gohl); and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents and brother Samuel.
