Bradley Bidinger

Bradley Gene Bidinger age 53 of Morton died Friday morning, July 20, 2012 at his home surrounded by his family. His death was due to complications resulting from cancer.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. John’s Catholic Church in Morton.

Visitation is 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. Monday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.  Interment is in Calvary Catholic Cemetery. The family prefers memorials in lieu of flowers.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Bradley Gene Bidinger was born July 28, 1958 in Redwood Falls to Donald and Dorothy (Roberts) Bidinger.  He was baptized and confirmed in Morton and attended the school in Morton.  Following graduation from Morton High School in 1977, Bradley attended Jackson Area Vocational-Technical Institute in Jackson from 1977 to 1978 to become a Lineman electrician.  Bradley married Deborah Lothert in 1983 at St. John’s Catholic Church in Morton.  Together they moved to Rochester where Bradley was employed by Rochester Public Utilities where he served as a Journeyman lineman electrician for 24 years.  During these years Bradley and Deborah had two children together.  Lindsey April was born April 1, 1985 and Jason Bradley was born November 15, 1988.  Bradley moved back to Morton in 2003 where he was employed by Southern Minnesota Beet Sugar Coop. as a forklift operator until his diagnosis.

Bradley had many hobbies and interests ranging from fishing, hunting, horseback riding, golfing and gambling.  Bradley was known as Mr. Lake Trout Fisherman throughout northern Minnesota and Canada and most recently received the status as High Roller at Morton’s Jackpot Junction Casino.  Bradley also had the title of “Hunter of the Year” within the Bidinger family and was awarded “Hunter of the Year” from the Birch Coulee Hunt and Gun Club.

Brad is survived by his father Donald Bidinger of Morton; children Lindsay (Jesse) Laidlaw and Jason Bidinger both of Spicer; brothers: Jeffery (Suzanne) Bidinger of Danube, Mark (Danielle) Bidinger of Redwood Falls, Michelle (Jason) Matthews of the Dominican Republic, Mary Beth (Kevin) Hartzell of Rainy Lake and David (Mary) Bidinger of St. Louis, MO;  Bradley also has many nieces & nephews: Nicholas Bidinger, Abby Larcom & Jessica Bertsch, Sara & Ashley Bidinger, Amanda Beatty, Samantha Martinez, Jameson Matthews, Brandon, Eric & Whitney Hartzell, Melissa & Matthew Bidinger; and many other relatives and friends.  He is preceded in death by his mother Dorothy in June 2002.
