Cheryl PrescottCheryl Prescott age 71 of Redwood Falls, Minnesota passed away Sunday July 9, 2017 at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center, after a long battle with bone metastasis from breast cancer.  Funeral services will be held 10:30 am Wednesday July 12 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home.  Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 pm Tuesday at the funeral home and will continue Wednesday from 9:00am till the time of service.  Burial will be at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Cemetery on the Lower Sioux Community.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Cheryl Lynn (Castle) Prescott was born June 20, 1946 at Redwood Falls Hospital, to Clara Castle and Harold Mosier. Clara was killed in a car accident in December of 1947 and Harold entered the military. Cheryl was then adopted by her grandparents Fay and Hattie Castle.  She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1964.  Cheryl married Michael Prescott in 1968 and had two sons Darin Michael and Gabriel David.  Cheryl worked as a legal secretary for many years at Ebbesen Passe and Whitmore and helped with Prescott’s Printing Services.  She co-owned Morton Mall and was ward secretary at Redwood Area Hospital.  Her pastimes included crossword puzzles, reading and jigsaw puzzles, as well as spending time with family at the lake and being with grandkids.

Cheryl is survived by sons: Darin and Gabriel (Kara); grandsons: Makale and Kohen; granddaughter Reese; stepmother Viola Mosier; half brothers: Barry (Mary Beth) and Dean; half sisters: Joan (Darryl) Haugen, Lynn Mosier and Patti (Larry) Duscher.  She is preceded in death by parents, grandparents and former husband, Michael Prescott.
