Violet Dresow age 92 formerly of Redwood Falls passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2012 at Parkview Nursing Home in Belview.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 10 at St. John Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Friday.  Interment is in Bethany Lutheran Cemetery in Wabasso.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Violet A. (Rohde) Dresow was born October 16, 1919 in Granite Rock Township, Minnesota, to Carl and Amanda (Stage) Rohde. She was baptized on November 22, 1919 and confirmed on June 25, 1933 both in Seaforth, Minnesota.  Violet attended country school and worked as a hired girl until her marriage to LeRoy Schultz on June 2, 1946.  Together, Violet and LeRoy farmed near Seaforth until LeRoy’s death in May of 1968.  Violet later married John Dresow on December 28, 1970 and they lived and farmed near Redwood Falls until retiring in 1981.  They moved into Redwood Falls in 1990, and John passed away in June of 2006.  Violet entered Parkview Nursing Home in Belview in February of 2011.  She enjoyed playing cards, doing picture puzzles, visiting with family and friends, and loved going to auction sales with her husband John.

Violet is survived by her sisters-in-law Pernell (Arden) Busack, Elaine Meyer, Deloris Rohde, and Phyllis Dresow; brother-in-law George (Alice) Dresow; and several nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands LeRoy and John, 3 sisters, and 1 brother.
