Edna Sater was born June 28, 1934 to Gustav and Lillian (Leonard) Radke in Tracy, Minnesota. She went to school in Walnut Grove, Minnesota. Edna worked at various jobs; as a bartender, nurses aid and also as a program associate hiring volunteer workers for Green Thumb. She enjoyed going to the casinos, playing Keno and grilling out. Edna also enjoyed the “Gilligan Boat Tour” at the Annual Sater Lake Weekend, her pets, but mostly spending time with her family and friends. She was a very fun-loving, giving person to all who knew her – family and friends alike. Edna had a special way to make people smile and laugh even during times of sadness and tragedy. She always found a way to lighten the mood with her generosity and great sense of humor, right to the end. Edna was united in marriage to Richard “Dick” Sater on March 30, 1957 and they made their home in Springfield and later moved to Bloomington, Echo and then settled in Seaforth in 1975. They later divorced in 1982. Edna later met and lived with her partner Dennis Winn until December 2017. She then was admitted to the Redwood Falls Hospital and later to Seasons Hospice due to multiple illnesses.
