Glenn was a wonderful neighbor for many years and was a wonderful man.
Tasha and Jordan will always have such fond memories as children with them from growing up! I will never forget the time, glenn said Jordan had come over and knocked on his back door, he was like 5 years old, and had asked him to come out to play with him, cause him mommy was doing laundry. LOL Glenn had cherished those tiny sweet moments to.

Thinking of you in these difficult times, he earned the respect of many people through his kindness and fairness as an officer of the law, it was an honor to know Glenn.

I will always remember Glenn as the first police officer I worked with to wear shorts (Smart and Lucky Guy.). Glenn was a great historian for the police department and made sure people were welcomed when they arrived and were taken through the photo department photo album. I am sure several people heard the same reply from Glenn when asked; Glenn how are the roads when they were traveling in the winter months. Glenn would say the roads are fine, but it’s the crap on top of them that will make it difficult. You could set your clock by when Glenn would take his daily breaks.

Lastly, Glenn will be missed by many and the community he served for so many years. I appreciated Glenn and will miss him as well. You all are in our thoughts and prayers as you progress through this difficult and huge loss in your lives.

    Take Care!

  12. Irene, Joey, Corey and the entire Bill family,

I am heartbroken and offer my deepest sympathy. Glen was a dear close friend. He made me feel welcome in Redwood Falls even before i was officially hired onto the Redwood Falls P.D. Just after my first interview, Glen who was on the interview board, met me outside and chatted with me for almost ten minutes even though he didn’t know me. I had a friend on the PD from day one.

After he retired we became even closer friends. I will treasure all our mornings at Subway. Glen would always arrive to subway first. Many many times he paid for my breakfast before i arrived and would not ask for anything in return.

He helped me more than anyone else along with my mother during my 2 year recovery from knee surgeries. Thank you Glenn. Glen was a funny man, outspoken at times but he had a huge huge heart. I only needed to say one word to get Glen all riled up! That word was “Obama”

Keep smiling Glen and when i see ya next time….breakfast is on me!

Glen would surprise me at subway many times

I just heard. I am so sorry for your loss. Glenn was my first field training officer who I always think back fondly on with his sense of humor. He took care of me as I was a young kid who moved a long way from home to a town that I knew nobody. He made sure to know I had a friend on day one. I enjoyed the long conversations in the squad at the shift change with him, he always made me smile no matter how bad of a day it had been.

God bless all of you. Sending prayers that God will comfort you.
