June Hahn

June Hahn, age 68, of Redwood Falls passed away Tuesday, January 10, 2012 at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls.

Memorial services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 28 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.

Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.  Private family burial will take place at a later date.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

June Hahn was born August 25, 1943 in Holstein, Iowa to Harry and Helen (Cipperley) Kaus.  She was confirmed in the Lutheran faith April, 1957 in Holstein.  June attended school through 10th grade in Holstein.  On September 2, 1960, she was united in marriage to Richard Hahn in Cherokee, Iowa in a double wedding ceremony also uniting June’s sister and Richard’s brother.  Together the couple lived in Morgan until moving to Redwood Falls in 1970.  June was a Sunday school teacher at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Morgan.  She worked at Del Monte in Sleepy Eye, Redwood Falls Hospital, McDonald’s for 17 years, and Zytec (Artesyn).  She retired from Artesyn in 2000 due to her health.  June enjoyed baking, playing cards, and traveling.  She loved to be with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

June is survived by her husband Richard of 51 years; children Penny (Robert) Christy of Olivia, Linda (Scott) Renkly of Ranchester, WY, Cheri (Craig) Lange of Redwood Falls, Richard Jr. (Jennifer) Hahn of Crooks, SD; 7 grandchildren: Melissa, Michael, Amanda, Angela, Cody, Christen, and Danica; 4 great grandchildren: Brianna, Brayden, Isabella, and Tenley; siblings Bob Kaus of Holstein, IA and Elaine (Tony) Hahn of Ft. Benton, MT; sisters-in-law Clara Friese of Redwood Falls and Patricia Slettedahl of Redwood Falls; and many other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents and sister Barb.
