Harvey Dallenbach Harvey Alfred Dallenbach, age 76 of Walnut Grove, passed away Tuesday, September 22, 2015 at Valley View Manor in Lamberton. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 26 at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Visitation is 4:00-7:00 p.m. Friday at the Walnut Grove Funeral Home with a prayer service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Saturday. Burial is in the Walnut Grove Cemetery. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Harvey Alfred Dallenbach was born November 13, 1938 in Grant Island, Florida to Alfred “Fred” and Alma (King) Dallenbach. He moved to Walnut Grove in 1941 with his family. Harvey was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. He attended Walnut Grove Public School. After school he farmed with his dad until he was drafted into the US Army in 1961. Harvey was honorably discharged in 1963. He returned to farming following his service in the Army. On January 4, 1964 he married Marie Foster at English Lutheran Church in Walnut Grove. Harvey also helped out several farmers doing various jobs for many years until starting at Hoyt Oil, retiring in 2001. Harvey was a member of English Lutheran Church where he was a Luther League Advisor for many years. He also was a member of the Walnut Grove Fire Department for many years. He enjoyed gardening, camping, fishing, and snowmobiling in his younger years. Harvey loved spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren, and attending their sporting events.

Harvey is survived by his wife Marie of 51 years; daughters Susan (Jonathan) Knutson and Sally (Nathan) Erickson, both of Lamberton; grandchildren: Jerilyn, Jeremy, Nathan, Mackenzie, Brandon, Shadae, and Treyton Knutson, and Ella, Jake, and Max Erickson; sister Frances Haecherl of Tracy; sister-in-law Clarice Dallenbach of Westbrook; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Gertrude Aanenson, and brother Howard Dallenbach.
