Marion Rose Hoffmann age 90 of Lucan passed away Monday, April 9, 2012 at the Redwood Area Hospital.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan.

Visitation is two hours prior to services at the church on Friday.  Interment will be in Our Lady of Victory Catholic Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marion Hoffmann was born July 30, 1921 in Lucan, Minnesota to Charles and Theresa (Miller) Brau.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church.  On May 7, 1946 she was united in marriage to Sylvester J. Hoffmann at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church in Lucan.  Marion worked part-time as a clerk at two grocery stores in Lucan.  After retirement, the couple moved into Lucan in 1993.  She was a lifetime member of CCW, Catholic Aid Association and was a devout Catholic.  Marion was a homemaker, wife, mother, and gardener.  She enjoyed playing cards and visiting with friends and family.  The joys of Marion’s life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Marion is survived by her children: Kathleen “Bootsie” (Rick) Armagost of Mounds View, James (Judy) Hoffmann of Marshall, Susan (Douglas) Roiger of Winnebago, and Thomas (Glenda) Hoffmann of Delavan; 9 grandchilren: Nathan (Becka) Armagost, Andrea Armagost, Jennifer Hoffmann, Janelle (Dale) Verschelde, Carrie (Erik) Amundson, Jerome (fiancée Abigail) Roiger, Curtis (Ellen) Roiger, David Roiger, and Sean Hoffmann; and 10 great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Sylvester, brothers Carl, Otto, and Raymond Brau, and sisters Rose Moldaschel, Clara Pavek, Ida Altmann, Mayme Vogl, and Theresa Plaetz.
