Joyce Hoffbeck – POSTPONED

Joyce HoffbeckJoyce Hoffbeck, age 86 of Redwood Falls, passed away Monday, April 9, 2018 at her home in Redwood Falls.

Funeral Services HAVE BEEN POSTPONED AND will be held at 3:00 p.m. Monday, April 16 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church.

Interment will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Joyce Marlys Hoffbeck was born April 5, 1932 to Arthur and Gladys (Wigen) Sather in Bandon Township, near Franklin, Minnesota.  She attended District 124 country school 1st-8th grade, and graduated from Franklin High School in 1950.  Joyce continued her education at the University of Minnesota for one year and then another year at the Minnesota School of Business.  On April 18, 1953, Joyce married Floyd Hoffbeck at Central Lutheran Church in Franklin.  She worked at General Mills in Minneapolis, ASC Redwood Falls, Redwood Falls Savings and Loan Bank and in compliance and certification with the USDA Service Center in Redwood Falls.  Joyce was a devoted member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.  She was very involved as a Sunday school teacher, usher, and greeter.  Joyce was also a part of the church choir, was on the wedding and funeral committees, and was a quilter.  She was a member of an extension club and a card club.  Joyce enjoyed playing cards with her club members.  She loved singing, dancing and traveling.  Joyce had many hobbies such as flower gardening, cooking, baking, canning, and collecting antiques.  She loved fishing and spending time at the lake.  Joyce had an incredible love for life, and loved spending time with her family and friends.

Joyce is survived by her husband Floyd; children: David Hoffbeck of Marshall, Bonnie (Dan) Buysse of Redwood Falls, Corwin (Denise) Hoffbeck of New London; grandchildren: Dane, Megan & Evan Buysse; step grandson Danny Wicklund; brother Glenn (Eleanor) Sather of Madison, WI; and nephew Andrew (Kit) Sather.  She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Gladys Sather, and niece Sonja Sather.
