Karen Watkins Karen Emily Watkins, age 74 of Seaforth, passed away Monday, August 3, 2015 at her home surrounded by her loving family after a lengthy battle with cancer. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, August 6 at the First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation is 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Thursday. Interment is in the Redwood Falls Cemetery. Karen Emily (Postolka) Watkins was born May 29, 1941 in Wabasso, Minnesota to Charles and Emma (Duhachek) Postolka. She graduated from Wabasso High School in 1959. Karen married Donald Watkins on November 14, 1959 in Seaforth. She was a loving wife, mother, and homemaker. Karen loved her flowers and gardening, and baking and cooking meals for family get-togethers. She also enjoyed Christmas shopping for her kids and grandkids. Karen enjoyed knitting and shared her expertise with all her family members. Her calling was to make prayer shawls, completing her 49th shawl in June.

Karen is survived by her husband Don of 55 years; children: Beverly (Tim) Morgan of Rochester, Cindy Green of Chanhassen, and Todd (Jeri) Watkins of Seaforth; grandchildren: Miranda (Matthew) Morgan Lilla, Taralee Morgan, Ramsey, Parker, and Tres Green, and Josey and Andy Watkins; brother Charles (Betty) Postolka of St. James; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents and daughter Tammy.
