Ann M. Larsen, age 61, of the Lower Sioux Community passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 at the Redwood Area Hospital.

Funeral services will be at 12:00 noon Monday, April 25 at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church.

Visitation is 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.  Visitation will continue at the church hall Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.  Interment is in St. Cornelia’s Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Ann M. Larsen was born August 10, 1949 in Red Wing, Minnesota to Wallace Sr. and Iola (Goodthunder) Pendleton.  She attended Morton High School.  Ann served the community for over 30 years in various capacities including the Lower Sioux Tribal Council, PowWow Committee, and working at The Trading Post.  Ann enjoyed playing cards, Yahtzee, Scrabble, cribbage, and Tetris.  She also liked going for rides, cooking, and spending time with her family especially her grandkids.
Ann is survived by her significant other Don Prescott; children: Marc Pendleton, Jennifer (Wes Sr.) Johnson, Jane Rasmussen (fiancé Chad Steffen), Joshua Larsen (fiancée Kristine Senger), LeAnne Prescott, and Tyler Prescott (fiancée Lindsay Firme) all of the Lower Sioux; grandchildren: Georgia Kispert, Darion Miller-Ahrens, Henry Pendleton, Collin Rasmussen, Breonna Rasmussen, Marcellus Pendleton, Branndon Pendleton, Grayson Prescott, Wallace Johnson, Wes Johnson Jr., Ellery Larsen, and Rex Pendleton; godchildren: Kim Hewitt and Mathew Pendleton; siblings: Warlene Yellow Cloud, Joyce Pendleton, Brenda Pendleton, Benji Pendleton, Jerome Prescott, Gary Prescott, Deb Robertson, Greg Prescott, Denny Prescott; and many other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents; children Dawn Miller and Brandon Pendleton-Fransen; sisters Gloria Pendleton and Beatrice Rainey; brothers Mathew Pendleton, Alan Pendleton Sr., Wallace Pendleton Jr.; brothers-in-law Les, Roger, and Mick Prescott; and nephew Jesse Sander.
