Marge ClausenMarjorie Ann Clausen age 73 of Belview, was taken to her heavenly home Sunday, August 6, 2017 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale.  Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 11, 2017 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Belview.  Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Thursday at the church and will continue one hour prior to the service.  Burial will be in the Belview City Cemetery.  Memorials are preferred in lieu of flowers. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marge was born June 14, 1944 in Echo, Minnesota to Stanford and Hazel (Abrahamson) Anderson.  She was baptized, confirmed and married at Rock Dell Lutheran Church.  Marge attended Country School District 10 and later Belview High School and graduated in 1962.  She moved to Hopkins after graduation, where she worked at various jobs.  On August 2, 1964 Marge married Ronald Clausen.  In 1967 they moved to Redwood Falls where they operated a convenience store and in 1970 they moved to Belview.  Marge worked as a cook at Parkview Home and also worked at Donovan’s Hotel in Redwood Falls.  She later became a bookkeeper at Parkview for 15 years.  Marge then worked as a cage cashier for 12 years at Firefly Creek Casino/ Prairie’s Edge until her retirement in 2013.  She was involved in many organizations such as: Parkview Auxiliary, Music Mothers of Belview High School and was the Treasurer for Ladies Aid and a 4H Leader for many years.  Marge was always very busy and was excellent at multitasking.  She loved crossword puzzles, word finds, playing Yahtzee, the Minnesota Twins and watching her television shows.  Marge’s pride and joy were her grandchildren, often traveling lots of miles for ballgames, concerts and birthdays, but mostly to just spend time with her family.

Marge is survived by her husband Ron of 53 years; children: Randy (Kathy) Clausen of Redwood Falls, Shelly Clausen of North Mankato, Kimberly (Jason) Knacke of Darwin, and Amy (Josh) McCabe of North Mankato; grandchildren: Brandon and Allison Knacke, and Trent and Carter McCabe; her best friends: LaVonne Smith of St. Louis Park and Donna Thomas of Belview and many other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents Stanford and Hazel, son Barry, and brother Myron Anderson.
