Martha Meulebroeck Martha Irene Meulebroeck age 92 of Tyler passed away Wednesday, February 25, 2015 at Sunrise Manor. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, March 2 at St. Dionysius Catholic Church in Tyler. Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 5:00 p.m. at the Tyler Area Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial is in Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Marshall. Martha was born November 17, 1922 to August and Marie (Mertens) Van Acker. On February 17, 1947 she married Walter H. Meulebroeck. The couple started farming near Ghent. Later they farmed near Marshall. In 1961, they moved to a farm near Balaton. Martha worked at Colonial Manor in Balaton in housekeeping for many years. In the fall of 1985, the couple retired and moved to Tyler where Martha has resided since. Walter passed away December 15, 1986. Martha moved to Sunrise Manor in January 2013. She was a member of St. Dionysius Catholic Church where she was involved with the sewing group. Martha enjoyed flower gardening and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.

Martha is survived by her children: Ronald (Arleen) of Marshall, Patricia (Keith) Constant of Amery, WI, David (Brenda) of Russell, Douglas (Cheryl) of Brandon, SD, and Brenda (Kenneth) Jensen of Tyler; grandchildren: Stacy and Michelle; Jeremy and Melissa; Scott and Sheri Lynn; Brandy; Pam and Paul; 8 great-grandchildren; and numerous other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter, son Bruce, and grandchildren Kyle and Autumn.

    Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all. I always told your mom she was my second mom. She was such a loving and thoughtful person. Her and I had so much fun at the Balaton nursing home. We always said those were the good days. God Bless & Keep you all.

    My prayers are with the family of Martha. She totally won my heart on my first day at the nursing home as she always had a smile and funny comment to share with me. She was the sunshine of every day I was able to be with her. Praying for God to wrap his arms around her family and friends at this time of healing!
