Gladys Morley age 78 of Redwood Falls passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2010 at Seasons Hospice House in Redwood Falls.

Mass of Christian Burial will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 31 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls.

Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:30 p.m.  Visitation will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.  Interment is in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery.  The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Gladys Morley was born on October 21, 1931 in Wabasso, Minnesota to John and Rose (Fernholz) Hagert.  She was baptized and confirmed at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso.  Gladys’ family moved to Clements in 1942 where she attended District 86 Country School.  Later the family moved back to Wabasso where she attended St. Anne’s from 7th grade to her graduation in 1950.  Gladys was united in marriage to Walter Morley on August 4, 1956 at St. Anne’s Catholic Church in Wabasso.  She worked at Northwestern Bell in Redwood Falls for 15 years and then at the DAC until her retirement.  Gladys was a member of the American Legion and VFW Auxiliaries, St. Catherine’s CCW, and helped with the country store and raffle at St. Catherine’s Fall Festival.  She helped her husband Walt coordinate and run the Fairshare food distribution center for many years.  Gladys enjoyed vegetable and flower gardening, canning, baking, making Christmas candies, and crocheting.  She loved getting together with her Birthday Club and prayer group.   She especially enjoyed old time music, traveling, dancing, going out to eat, and visiting with family and friends.

Gladys is survived by her son Tom and wife Gale; daughter Cheryl and husband Harry Davis; grandson Matthew Morley; and granddaughter Callie Davis all of Redwood Falls; her dog Teisha; brothers and sisters: Kathleen Senger of Redwood Falls, Elmer Hagert of Forest Lake, LaVerne (Verna) Hagert of Sauk Rapids, Phyllis Mangan of LeCenter, John Hagert Jr. (Judy) of Lindstrom, and many other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Walter and brother Louis Hagert.
