Nathan JenkinsNathan “Newt” Jenkins age 35 of Redwood Falls, formerly of Ball Club, Minnesota, passed away Saturday, May 30, 2015 at his home. Visitation will begin at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 2 at the Lower Sioux Guild Hall and continue until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, June 3. A second visitation will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Ball Club Community Center on the Leech Lake Reservation and continue until the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 4. Nathan “Newt” Jenkins was born July 11, 1979 in Bemidji, Minnesota to Charles and Dorothy (Dunn) Jenkins. He graduated from Bug-o-nay-ge-shig School in 1997, and later attended Bemidji State University. Nathan worked at Northern Lights Casino for a period of time. Nathan met the love of his life, Sheena Crow, in Marshall, Minnesota and together they made their home in Redwood Falls for the last seven years. He enjoyed drawing, playing PlayStation, listening to music and attending concerts. He loved his three cats. Nathan enjoyed a variety of foods and going out to eat, but he especially loved the home-cooked meals made by Sheena.

Nathan is survived by his soul mate Sheena Crow; sisters Elaine Jenkins, Vivienne Crow, and Marya “Tum” Jenkins; special brother Troy Bowstring; uncles: Sam Jenkins of Minneapolis, George (Carol) Jenkins of Cass Lake, Nathan (Betty) Jenkins of Deer River, Tony (Audrey) Jenkins of Cass Lake, Maynard (Alfreda McKenzie) Jenkins of Bemidji, and John Dunn of Cass Lake; nieces and nephews: Greg, Michael, Noel, Randi, Diane, and Melissa; numerous great-nieces and great-nephews; and many friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, several siblings, grandparents, and close friend Ricardo Sanchez, Sr.
