Cordell Fritz Sanderson was born February 21, 2012 at 2:21 p.m. at Sanford Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD.  He weighed 4 lbs. 2 oz. and was 16 inches long.  Cordell looked just like his dad except for his full head of dark curly hair like his mom.  Cordell was baptized at the hospital with the help of his grandparents and the medical staff who delivered him.  Cordell’s strength exceeded all expectations and he graced us with his presence for 6 ½ hours.  In that time he had a chance to meet his grandparents, aunts and uncles and a few other family members and friends.  He even made time for a quick play date with one of his cousins.  Shortly after everyone left, he spent some time showing off to his dad, making lots of noise and moving his wonderful little hands and feet.  Once back in his mothers’ loving arms, he peacefully fell asleep and said good-bye.  Cordell was held and loved his entire life.  He will never be forgotten by the ones he touched especially his mother and father.

He is survived by his parents: Dane and Kayla (Thooft) Sanderson; grandparents: Tod (Becci) Sanderson of Ruthton, Kim (Barb) Thooft of Tyler; Great grandparents: Bonnie Thooft of Tyler, Joe and Marie Vercruysse of Balaton, Cordell and Bonnie Krall of Cohasset, MN and Dean and Lorry Sanderson of Ruthton; aunts and uncles Kyle (Shawna) Thooft, Wade (Hilary) Thooft, Travis Sanderson and Bryan Sanderson; cousins: Taylin, Keaton, Bridget Thooft.
Preceded in death by his great grandpa Fritz Thooft and Great aunt Jacqueline Thooft
