Stacey E. Sedin, age 41 of Morton passed away April 7, 2011 at Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls, Minnesota, following a courageous battle with brain cancer.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 16 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.  Burial will be held at a later date.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Stacey Elizabeth Sedin was born in Duluth, Minnesota on August 1, 1969 to David and Judith Sedin.  Despite battling cancer, Stacey loved life and accepted all that it brought.  She took things on in life that were extremely difficult and conquered them.  Her infectious smile and jubilant laugh will be etched in our minds forever.  Stacey was a wonderful daughter, mother and friend and she loved her family unconditionally.  The love that she showed for her family and friends was without limits.  She was also a strong and hard-working woman with an artistic talent almost beyond belief.  She willingly donated many of her exquisite paintings to family and friends who will appreciate and cherish them forever.  She also loved her horses, cherished her pets Mack, Sam, Bobbi, Olliver, Iggy and Mert, loved tending her vegetable and flower gardens, being outdoors, and she enjoyed cooking for family and friends.

Stacey was employed by Service Enterprises, Inc., a nonprofit agency that assists disabled people, and Sunwood Nursing Home in her younger years.  She devoted herself to the well-being of disabled and elderly people and her concern for others was always her high calling.  Our lives have been enriched by having Stacey with us and we will miss her endless compassion and caring for others.

Stacey is survived by her daughters Danielle and Tessa Sedin of Morton, MN; her mother, Judith Sedin of Superior, WI; father David (Julie) Sedin of Superior, WI; sister, Nicole (Scott) Finckler; and niece, Hailie Finckler of Lake Nebagamon, WI.

Stacey and her family are eternally grateful for the services and support provided by Hospice, Home Health, Wood Dale Nursing Home and other medical staff, the local community, her many good friends, and Pastors Bill Klavetter and Joy Ekstedt of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church.
