Virg and Judi Helmbolt were married in 1967. The couple had two daughters, Dawn and Shawn, and were later divorced. Virg worked at Appleton Silo in Marshall, for a pipeline company across several states, various construction jobs in the Twin Cities, and CEEC in Wabasso. Virg loved spending time with his family, especially his youngest grandson, Curtis, going to the park for picnics, Walmart, Papa’s doctor appointments, and out to lunch at various places in Marshall. They were two peas in a pod until Papa’s health started to deteriorate.
