Aaron RasmussenAaron Rasmussen, age 39 of North Mankato formerly of Redwood Falls, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, February 10, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 16 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Aaron Rasmussen was born May 16, 1978 to Leon and Carol (Bagdons) Rasmussen in Wadena, Minnesota. He attended school in New Ulm and Redwood Falls. On August 23, 2014, Aaron married Amanda Dahlberg in North Mankato. Aaron had a great sense of humor, loved joking around and helping people. He enjoyed riding dirt bike, golfing, working on his boat and finishing his fish house. Aaron loved his family and to cook food. His passion was fishing and taking his kids fishing. He loved spending time with his kids, step kids and step grandson.

Aaron is survived by his wife Amanda; children: Kayla & Ethan Rasmussen; step children: Cali, Kade, & Haven Aude; step grandson Mateo Guerra; parents: Leon & Carol; parents-in-law: Travis & Renee Raddatz; siblings: Randy (Lana) Rasmussen, Leanne (Steve) Kaufenberg and Lee Rasmussen (Tonya Haas); siblings-in-law Robert Ehlers and Samantha (Kevin) Woltjer; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his grandparents, uncles Sheldon Rasmussen, Gene Hosner and Robert Talpley.

  1. I’m sorry for the loss of Aaron, He truly seemed like an amazing man and friend. He became a true love to his wife and kids (step or real)! He’s gone but never forgotten! He is going to be missed and thought of often! Everyone, Please remember the good times you all have had with this young man! He will be looking down on everyone and I hope you feel him inside each of your hearts!

  2. Lee and Family, I am truly sorry for your loss; I still cant believe it. I remember a lot of really good things about him. He would come to the Pink Cadillac a lot back in the day and he loved to play video games! We always enjoyed it when he was there. Your family will be in our prayers. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ.
