Alice HuntAlice Hunt age 85 of Redwood Falls passed away Saturday, June 14, 2014 at Wood Dale Nursing Home in Redwood Falls.  Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 am Friday, June 20 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church.  Visitation is one hour prior to services at the church.  Burial is in St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery.  Memorials will be donated to MN Alzheimers Research.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Alice was born November 10, 1928 in Redwood Falls to George & Elsie (Tradewell) Allan.  She graduated Redwood Falls High School and attended Roger & Benners Cosmetology School.  Alice worked in Minneapolis before moving back to Redwood Falls to work in The Galles Shop.  On November 15, 1947, Alice was united in marriage to Donald Hunt at St. John’s Catholic Church in Morton.  Alice later went to work for Toger Nelson at Gambles.  She left to farm and raise her family. She returned to work as bookkeeper for Nelson-Schjaastad, OK Hardware and worked for S.P. Inglis until retirement.  Alice was very active in the Welcome Wagon, Veritas Study Club, CCW, N.C.S. of Foresters, 4-H and served as President of the Newcomers Club. Alice volunteered numerous hours at Gilfillan and the Redwood Museum where she was later employed.  She was a member of the VFW, and life member of the Redwood Valley Saddle Club and the Redwood County Historical Society.  Alice enjoyed Hardanger, sewing, gardening and playing bridge.

Alice is survived by her children: Susan Hunt of Wilmington, CA, Patricia (Dan) Bishop of Trophy Club, TX, Jennifer Nebe of Thornton, CO, Rebecca (Dale) Feist of Paynesville, Michael (Roxanne) of Carthage, SD, and Jeffrey (Kay) of Marion, TX; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; sister Marian Heiling; and many other relatives and friends.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Donald on January 2, 2014 and a brother Bud Allan.
