Alice Marie Dresow age 83 of Redwood Falls passed away Thursday, March 14, 2013 at Seasons Hospice House in Redwood Falls.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 23 at First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls.
Visitation will begin at 12:00 noon and will continue until the time of services. Interment will be in Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Lucan at a later date. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Alice Marie Dresow was born February 18, 1930 in Redwood County, Minnesota, to Nels and Emma (Johnson) Christensen. She attended school district #46, and later Wabasso High School, where she graduated in 1948. On February 15, 1950, Alice married George Dresow at the Methodist Church in Redwood Falls. They farmed in the Belview and Redwood Falls area, and moved into Redwood Falls in 1997. Alice resided at Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls for the past two years. Alice was a member of First United Methodist Church in Redwood Falls where she served with the United Methodist Women, and was very involved with church activities. She spent her time gardening, canning, baking, and raising her family. Alice enjoyed reading and playing cards. Family was a very important part of Alice’s life.
Alice is survived by her husband George of Redwood Falls; children: Sandra (Dale) Davis of Wabasso, Gerald (Karen) Dresow of Chanhassen, Alan (Sherry Olson) Dresow of St. Cloud, Jeffry (Joan) Dresow of New Prague; grandsons: Mark & Brian Davis, Jason (Mallory) Dresow, Samual & Benjamin Dresow; sister Lois Pierson; and sisters-in-law Arlene Christensen, Elaine Christensen, and Lucille Christensen. She is preceded in death by her parents, and brothers: Julius (Helen), Norman (Hilda), Ed (Thelma), Jens, William, and Donald Christensen.
