Busswitz_BeverlyBeverly Ann (Jackels) Busswitz age 78 of Westbrook passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center.

Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, July 8 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church in Dovray.

Visitation is 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunay at the Westbrook Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to services at the church on Monday. Burial is in the church cemetery. Beverly Ann (Olson) Busswitz was born August 24, 1934 in Westbrook, MN to Lawrence and Mabel (Flor) Olson. She was baptized on May 25, 1937 and confirmed on June 19, 1949, both at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook. Beverly attended Westbrook Public School. On October 17, 1950 she was united in marriage to Arvin Jackels. They lived on the family farm and were blessed with 4 children: Mary, Pam, Kirby, and Jane. Arvin died March 25, 1975. Beverly later married Luverne Busswitz on July 2, 1977, and he passed away in 1979. Beverly was a member of the VFW Auxiliary and Our Savior’s Lutheran Church Ladies Aid. She was also a Sunday School teacher and loved doing the opening exercises. Beverly was always an active person; she was a great bowler, avid golfer, and a member of card clubs where she played a lot of Bridge. She enjoyed making homemade bread and lefse.

Beverly is survived by her daughters: Mary L. (Steve) Anderson of Westbrook, Pam L. (Charles Jr.) Barrie of Westbrook, and Jane E. (Randy) Wahl of Chanhassen; grandchildren: Brett Anderson, Stephanie (Christopher) Schuelke, Marie (Justin) Schuelke, Michal Barrie (Jessica Jurzak), and Brianna, Danielle, and Michaela Wahl; great grandchildren: Jordyn Anderson, Lincoln Schuelke, and soon to arrive Baby Schuelke; sister Donna (Jack) Simpson of Fresno, CA; and a host of family and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husbands Arvin and Luverne, son Kirby John, granddaughter Marci Barrie, and sisters Florence, Edna, Phyllis, and Violet.
