Jorgensen, BlancheBlanche Mae Jorgensen…90 of Arco passed away Sunday, June 22, 2014 at Morningside Heights Care Center in Marshall.   Funeral services will be at 10:30a.m. Thursday, June 26, 2014 at Bethany Lutheran Church in Arco. Visitation is 4-7p.m. Wednesday at the Tyler Area Funeral Home. With a prayer service at 6:30p.m. Visitation will then continue one hour prior to the services at the church on Thursday. Stephens Funeral Service – Tyler Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Blanche Mae Jorgensen was born July 5, 1923 in Marshall, Minnesota to Herman and Emma (Cross) Weidauer. Her mother died when she was very young. Herman remarried Pearl Holden, who raised Blanche and her younger brother. She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith. Blanche attended school in Lynd and graduated from Russell high school in 1940. On September 13, 1941 Blanche was united in marriage to Harvey Norman Jorgensen. She helped with farm work and milking cows, worked at the Chat N Chew Café in Tyler and the Koffee Kup Kafe in Arco. Blanche was a Sunday School teacher for many years a member of the Farmers Union and an election judge.   She enjoyed embroidery work, playing cards and making “tie” quilts. Spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, great grandchildren and many adopted grandchildren, brought her much joy.

Blanche is survived by her husband Harvey of 72 years; her children Gary (Helen) Jorgensen of Arco, Darla (Darrell) Gray of Balaton and CallaJean (Arnold) Thooft of Arco; 12 grandchildren: Craig (Angela) Jorgensen, Lynette (Ron) Madsen, Joel Jorgensen, Brenda (Jeff) Kirk, Ryan(Karen)Gray, Deana (Lance) Moeller, Shayne Gray , Crystal Gray, Darius (Tammy) Thooft, BrandiJo Hatton, Brent (Nichole) Thooft, Shandra (Todd) Weber; 21 great grandchildren; Coy, Jacey, Josh, Jamie, Katilynn, Wyatt, Westin, Monica, Trevor, Hailie, Jessica, Spencer, Amber, Megan, Braden, Samantha, Eli, Corbin, Catherine, Braxton, and Mason; sister-in-law Bonnie Weidauer of Balaton and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter Jennifer; sisters: Iola, Lela and Marjorie and brothers: Raymond, LeRoy, Donald and Vernon. Blessed be her memory.
