Clay ElderClay Elder, age 44 of Westbrook, passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2016 at his home.  A visitation will be held 1:00-4:00 p.m. Friday, September 2 at the Westbrook Funeral Home.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Clay Don Elder was born September 7, 1971 in Dallas, Texas to Roy and Margie (Smith) Elder Sr.  He was raised in Irving, Texas and went to school there.  Clay later quit school to help in his family’s locksmith shop.  He lived most of his life in Texas. Clay met Heidi Drexler in 1992. They soon fell in love and stayed together until 2011. They then became close friends. Clay met his best friend and brother by heart, Brandon Kosiarski, and sister by heart, Whitney Lensing, in Windom in 2012. They became close friends and moved to Westbrook in 2014. Clay loved riding his scooter around town, going on car rides, spending time with animals and babies, hanging out by the lake, making jokes, and just being all around funny.  He also loved playing video games, mainly Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and absolutely loved his heavy metal.

Clay is survived by his brothers Steve Elder of Waco, Texas and Roy Wayne Elder Jr. of California; aunt Donna Bishop of Texas; many other extended family; friends Brandon Kosiarski, Whitney Lensing, Kenny Lensing, Heidi Drexler, and Mike Junker; girlfriend Holly Weinberg and her children Levi and KatiAnn Weinberg; and many other friends.  He may be gone, but he won’t be forgotten.

  1. Clay, I knew you from third grade up until the day you passed. You were the sweetest, kindest, most loving man I have ever met. You were a big ole teddy bear.     Clay, I only knew you for a unfortunately short Time, wish it could have been much longer, You were a Sweet Soul, a Loving, Giving, Caring, and all around Great Guy, You touched many people’s Lifes, and Hearts, without even trying! You may not still be here in the physical sense, but I know You are still with us all. Even if it’s only in our hearts, and Memories….
