David Michael Johnson, age 72, of Westbrook passed away December 16, 2018 at home. No services will be held at this time. Stephens Funeral Service – Westbrook Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

David Michael Johnson was born October 1, 1946 to Ernest and Leona (Groote) Johnson. He was baptized over by Slayton and confirmed at Hadley Lutheran Church. David graduated from Worthington High School in 1966. He was united in marriage to Cynthia Oakland on August 25, 1979 in Montevideo. Together they had 2 children Shawn and Angela. David enjoyed visiting with anyone who would talk to him. He loved his lake home and working for the phone company. He also loved spending time with his grandkids.

David is survived by his wife of 39 years Cynthia (Oakland) Johnson; children: Shawn Johnson of Marshall and Angela (Jason) Wig of Spicer; grandchildren: Brycen Johnson, Charlotte, Jack and Henry Wig, and Questus Taylor; sisters: Dolly and Judy; and many other friends, family, and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents and infant brother Larry.
