Deborah Larson

Debbie LarsonDeborah “Debbie” L. Larson age 59 of Tracy, wife, mother, sister, daughter and dear friend to all, peacefully passed away Saturday, January 27, 2018 at Sanford Medical Center in Sioux Falls.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 3, 2018 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Tracy.  Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the Tracy Area Funeral Home with a 4:00 p.m. Rosary Service and a 7:30 p.m. Prayer Service.  Visitation will continue one hour prior the service at church on Saturday.  Stephens Funeral Service – Tracy Area Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Debbie was born on May 29, 1958 in Sydney, MT to Janet and Donald Slagel.  She graduated from Marshall Senior High in 1976 and Granite Falls Technical College in 1983 with a degree in Accounting.  She married her high school sweetheart, Steve Larson in 1984.  They settled in Tracy, MN where together they established and ran Steve Larson Services Inc., in Tracy and the surrounding area for 15 years.  Following this, Debbie joined John´s RX Drug as an accountant, however according to many, she became the fountain of knowledge for all aspects of the business.  Her welcoming smile and bubbly personality was known and loved throughout the community.  Also during this time, they welcomed their 2 children, Tristan and Brittany, who would become her pride and joy… her heart and soul.  Debbie strived to provide a fairy tale life for her children, instilling in them a zest for life and a commitment to family and friends. She was an avid flower gardener, a fitness enthusiast losing herself in long walks with her dogs, a lover of summer nights watching the sunset from the dock of their cabin and a true inspiration with her flare for design and style on all levels.  However, Debbie`s real and abiding passions were always her family and friends. Her infectious laugh, witty personality, intense loyalty and enormous capacity for love is why she is beloved by so many.  Debbie has filled our lives with warmth and laughter and this loss leaves a tremendous void in all of us.

Debbie is survived by her husband of 34 years, Steve Larson, their children, Tristan Larson (Ayla Snyder) and Brittany Larson; her mother Janet Slagel; her siblings Rick Slagel (Patti), Mike Slagel (Teresa) and Shari Slagel (Razmi Patel); sister-in-law Debra Miller (Ardie); and her nieces and nephews: Sara, Cindy, Samantha, Heather, Tawnni, Braeden, Carter and Kai.

The family asks that you spend time with your children, take long walks with your loved ones and raise a glass in honor of enduring lifelong and beloved friendships.  This is what Debbie would wish for.

Blessed be her memory.
