Agatha DeBuhr Agatha Frances Moriarity Hufford DeBuhr, “Farmer and Housewife” (mother of Nancy Bauer) age 91 of Alexandria, formerly of Morris, passed away Tuesday, August 3, 2010.

A Memorial Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 10 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alexandria.

Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the church on Tuesday.  Interment is in Calvary Cemetery in Morris at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, August 9.  The Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Agatha was born August 2, 1919 in Darnen Township in Stevens County to Charles and Charlotte (Lawler) Moriarity.  She was baptized and confirmed at Assumption Church in Morris.  Agatha attended Rural School District 47.  She married Hugh Hufford on September 27, 1942.  Together they farmed south of Morris for several years, until his death in 1965.  She then held several interesting jobs including working at a bakery, Bon Jos and the nutrition center.  Agatha later married Charles DeBuhr on January 9, 1982.  They continued living in Morris for some time, then eventually moved to Alexandria in 1996.  Charles passed away on August 4, 1998.  She most recently lived at Bethel Manor.  Many people will miss seeing her walking around downtown and through the halls at Bethany.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy (Jerry) Bauer; two grandchildren: Shelly (Dave) Havran, & Cindy (Nick) Pachmayer; three great-grandchildren: Will & Charlotte Havran, and Stella Pachmayer;  three step-daughters: Arlene Larson, Joyce (Mike) Busch, and Jan (Dean) Monson; step-son Les (Kathy) DeBuhr; nine step-grandchildren: Michael, Douglas, Scott (Leita) and Richard (Adam) Larson, Eric (Katie) and Kendra Busch, Sadie Monson, John and Mitch DeBuhr; six step great-grandchildren: Hallie, Kaden, Ryan, & Tyler Larson, and Talon & Henry Busch; siblings: Dorothy Ziebarth, Thomas (Irma) Moriarity and Joyce (Miles) Collins; brother-in-law Harlen Moe; and many other relatives and friends.

Preceding her in death are her parents, two brothers James and Bernard Moriarity, two sisters Mary (Roman) Wagner and Margaret Moe, first husband Hugh Hufford, second husband Charles DeBuhr, daughter Helen Claussen, step son-in-law Jim Larson, granddaughter Whitnee Busch and grandson Luke Monson; and brother-in-law Arthur Ziebarth.
