Diane KuehnDiann Lynn Kuehn, age 71 of rural Sanborn, passed away Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at North Memorial Medical Center in Robbinsdale. Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 9 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Willow Lake Township. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. at Redwood Valley Funeral Home. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at church. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Diann Lynn Kuehn was born January 31, 1947 to LeRoy and Eileen “Peggy” (Dodge) Homiston in Kenmare, ND.  When Diann was young her father passed away in a car accident.  Her mother later married John Richter who helped raise Diann.  She was baptized in Bowbells, ND and was confirmed at Trinity Lutheran Church in Willow Lake Township.  Diann graduated from Bowbells High School in 1965.  Her father taught school and they moved to Wabasso.  There Diann met Stanley Kuehn.  On August 15, 1964, she married Stanley at Trinity Lutheran Church.  Together the couple lived and farmed in the Wanda Area, where they have lived ever since. Diann was proud to work on the farm and help run the farm equipment. She worked in Wanda doing catering for Wanda Country Steak and Drink.  Diann later worked at the Redwood Candle Company.  She was a member of a neighborhood hobby club.  Diann volunteered for Toys for Tots and the food shelf.  She enjoyed bird watching, bowling, cooking and baking.  Diann was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church where she was a member of the ladies aid.  She also enjoyed gardening and canning to provide for her family.  Diann loved spending time with her grandkids and her dogs.

Diann is survived by her husband Stanley of 53 years; children: Todd (Jennifer) Kuehn of Wabasso and Tonya Coplan (Joe) of Hazel, SD; grandchildren: Kody, Tristan & Jasmine Kuehn, Braxten, Caleb & Jonah Loppnow and Logan Coplan; siblings: Rick (Janice) Homiston of Kohler, WI and Terri Homiston of Los Angeles, CA; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents LeRoy, John and Peggy, sister Linda Maust, niece Shelly Raddatz and nephews Brad Homiston and LeRoy Maust.

    So sorry to hear about the loss of Diann. Met Diane when I first came to Redwood, through Jan Fenske, several years ago! We had some good times with her and Stanley! Ran on to her a few times through the years, always sweet and friendly! A very lovely person!! Our condolences to the family!!
