Don MielkeDonald “Don” J. Mielke age 83 of Redwood Falls, passed away Sunday, August 06, 2017 at the Redwood Area Hospital.  Memorial Services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Donald J. Mielke was born March 28, 1934 in Sheridan Township, Redwood County, Minnesota to Albert & Esther (Muetzel) Mielke.  He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  Don married Donna Wilson on February 18, 1961 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Sheridan Township.  Together they farmed in the Redwood Falls area and raised their family.

Don is survived by his wife Donna; children: Julie (Glen) Zimmermann and Dean (Katie) Mielke; grandchildren: Mitch Zimmermann, Mindi (Tory) Zamzow, Mahlon (Mandy) Zimmermann, Maren Mielke and Caleb Mielke; great grandchild Avery Jo Zimmermann; siblings: Margaret Flaten and Karl (Sandy) Mielke and many other relatives and friends.
