Doreen LeGareDoreen Ann LeGare, age 90 of Redwood Falls, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2018 at Sunwood Good Samaritan Society in Redwood Falls.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:00 p.m. Saturday, January 13 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Redwood Falls.  Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the church on Saturday.  Interment will be in the St. Catherine’s Catholic Cemetery.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Doreen Ann LeGare was born January 28, 1927 to John and Philomena (Heller) Sellner in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.  She attend Sleepy Eye public school through the 8th grade.  On October 4, 1949, she married Philip LeGare Jr. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye, Minnesota.  Together the couple lived and farmed near Lafayette for five years and Gibbon for seven years.  On March 10, 1962 they moved to rural Wabasso where they farmed for 20 years.  After retirement, they moved to Redwood Falls on August 10, 1982.  Doreen was a member of the Whist Card club. She was a wonderful cook and baker.  Doreen loved going to Jackpot and fishing.

Doreen is survived by children: Chuck (Vickie) LeGare of The Villages, FL, Pat (Sharon) LeGare of New London, Judy (Dennis) Kodet of Olivia, and Bruce (Kathy) LeGare of Elk River; 15 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; siblings: Roger Sellner of Sleepy Eye, Judy (Charlie) Fearn of Minneapolis; and many other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Phil, five brothers and one sister.

  1. I’m so sorry for your loss of this sweet lady she holds a peice of heart I would go and just sit in her room and we would chit chat and she would tell me take peice of candy every time I went in there she will be for ever missed
