Dustin Gruendemann Dustin “Duddy” Gruendemann age 30 of Lamberton, formerly of the Willmar area, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, March 21, 2015. A Celebration of Life service will be at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 2:00-3:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. A gathering of friends will follow the service at the American Legion Club (100 Industrial Drive) in Redwood Falls. The family requests that, in honor of Dustin, everyone wears their favorite hoodie sweatshirt to the service. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.

Dustin “Duddy” Troy Gruendemann was born April 28, 1984 in Redwood Falls to William and Becky. He lived life by the seat of his pants. Dustin enjoyed riding snowmobile and dirt bike. He was very mechanical; he loved working on cars and helping his stepdad get the demo car ready. Dustin spent all his spare time with his sons, Hunter and Devin. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends, listening to music, and hunting with his stepdad. Dustin’s favorite quote in life was “I’d rather be hated for who I am, than loved for what I am not.” He lived life to the fullest and will be dearly missed.

Dustin is survived by his sons Devin and Hunter; parents Becky & Tod Shepard; grandfather Duane LeBrun; sisters: Jennifer (Tony) Braun, Nikki (Mike) Wieberdink, Nicholisia Shepard; nieces and nephew: Lecora, Jordan, and Teagan; and many other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father William, grandmother Vivian LeBrun, niece Delaney Braun, and close friend Josh “Lenny” Lehnhoff.

  1. I am at a total loss for words, this hurts all of us so deeply, Dusty was adored by all who truly knew him, and we were blessed to have the time to know him. He will be missed every day.

Haven’t seen you in a few years….In the last 2 weeks you came over twice for a couple hours each time, Spent time playing with my little boys..We had a awesome time catching up talking about all the crazy times we had back in the day..You are and always will be one of the true friends I had since we were younger..I’m forever grateful that we got a chance to hang out again after so long and thankful you got a chance to meet my little guys..You were a one of a kind and we got along perfect..

  12. Duddy will forever be missed. He was my best friend. We had a connection that nobody would ever understand. Loved seeing him wear my ICP hoodie in almost every picture. He always knew how to cheer me up and make me smile. Love and miss you eternally.

  14. I had the pleasure of working with Dusty at Willmar Fab for 2 years. With Dusty there was never a dull moment and he was definitely his own man. I found his attitude for life and the great love of his 2 sons to be a breathe of fresh air. He will be missed by family, myself and his many friends. R.I.P Dusty.

You were such a kind and free spirit, no one in this world will ever leave an imprint on heart as you did. I pray every night for your boys, Jen, your mom and Todd, I can out imagine the pain they are feeling. We will always miss you buddy, Taylor and your “monster” will as well.
