Elaine Arlys (Enebo) Trimnell was born January 30, 1937 in Hanska, Minnesota to Elmer and Alice (Norsby) Enebo.  She was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.  In her early years, Elaine attended school in Hanska, and later graduated high school in Fosston, MN.  On October 18, 1957, Elaine married Marlin Trimnell in Colorado Springs, CO, where he was stationed while serving in the United States Air Force.  Elaine loved baking and cooking for her family.  She was a wonderful seamstress and also enjoyed many hours of knitting beautiful items that she so generously shared with her family.  Elaine enjoyed working at church, and attending Bible study, Circle and book clubs. Her love for learning never stopped and technology didn’t scare her. Though she loved her books, checking Facebook on the iPad and texting her family were daily pastimes. Any way she could connect with loved ones, she would. Elaine embraced and nourished her family with every ounce of her being. They were her greatest treasure. She loved gatherings and phone visits; anything her family said was interesting and she listened intently. Elaine quickly became known as “the great listener.” Her family benefited from her wisdom, often going to her for advice. We celebrate as she joins Jesus in her Great Rebirth.

Elaine is survived by her children: Gary (Linda) Trimnell of New Ulm, Deb (Dave) Mattison of Redwood Falls; grandchildren: Logan Trimnell of New Ulm, Robby (Marquitta) Trimnell of Willmar, Nina (Chris) DeLeo of New Ulm, Ryan (Elizabeth) Mattison of Cleveland, MN, Kelsey (Annalisa) Mattison of Mound, MN, Alissa Mattison of Minneapolis; step-grandchildren: Jason (Sara) Filzen of Eagan, Jessica Filzen Boelter (Ryan Boelter) of New Ulm, Jenny Filzen of New Ulm; great-grandchildren: Jesse, Jack, and Emmaleigh Trimnell, Alyssa and Jayden DeLeo; step-great-grandchildren: Ava and Landon Filzen, Zach and Raylyn Boelter; sister June Haug of Sleepy Eye; and many cousins; nieces; and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Marlin, and sister Sadie Broste.

  3. To the Family of Elaine. Elaine was a very nice quiet lady, She knew how to make things being a seamstress and knitting.
I know she was active in her church which is Gloria Dei Lutheran in Redwood Falls. She attended the bible classes and
adult bible study in church. She was always friendly and never said bad things about anybody.
Bless be her memory. You have our utmost sympathy.
