Olga Erickson age 100 of Westbrook passed away on Saturday, October
24 2009 at the Sanford Hospital in Westbrook.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, October
30, 2009 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook.

Visitation will be one hour prior to services
at the church. Interment will be in the Westbrook Cemetery. The
Westbrook Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Olga Adelle Erickson was born on March 26, 1909 in Westbrook Township
in Cottonwood County, Minnesota the daughter of Julia Gertrude (Jensen)
and Ole O. Kleven. Both of her parents came from Norway when they
were young. Olga was baptized in 1909 and confirmed in 1925 at St.
Olaf Lutheran Church in rural Westbrook. She graduated from the
Westbrook High School in 1929. Olga was united in marriage to Clarence
Erickson on September 14, 1929 at the Lutheran parsonage by Rev.
Estrem. They lived on a farm and later purchased the Our Own Hardware
Store in Westbrook.

Olga was a Sunday school and release-time religion teacher and
was in WELCA while a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Olga served
her community with membership in American Legion Auxiliary, Municipal
Band Auxiliary and the Hospital Auxiliary. In 1973 Clarence and
Olga made a trip to Norway where they visited relatives and went
sightseeing. In 1979 Clarence and Olga celebrated their golden wedding
anniversary. Olga enjoyed having company. The coffee pot was always
on and friends would drop in. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles,
cooking and baking, embroidering, crocheting, visiting and playing
cards. Olga has been living independently in her own apartment and
has been in good health.

Olga is survived by two sons Roger (Donna) of Lake City and Gary
(Myrna) of Fridley and one daughter Marilyn (Kent) Bigbee of Mankato;
9 grandchildren: Steven, Randal, and Lee Erickson, Linda Missling,
Kerry Alvarado, Kevin Bigbee, Kristi Butler, Sue Elftmann, and Gregg
Erickson; 23 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great grandchildren;
one sister-in-law; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded
in death by her husband Clarence, in 1980; brothers Oluf, Bernhard,
Edward, Oswald, Jens, and Timan; sisters: Gelina Peterson, Jennie
Niklason, and Alma Soll; grandson Douglas Erickson; and 3 great-grandchildren.
