Dear Jude and family …..our deepest sympathy in the loss of such a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to so many. Several times throughout the years our family seemed to bring up some “Gordy Story” to share. Such as the time you came to visit us in Iowa and Gordy walked into the house saying….”Well, I see Roscoe ( which was our HUGE Saint Bernard) still remembers me….he put one paw on each shoulder and sat me flat on the ground.” ( Of course, if you knew Gordy….he didn’t have very far to go to hit the ground.) We just reminded our son, Jeff, that Gordy was the one that taught him how to drive with that little orange car of his (Gordy”s) out in our pasture. Such fun times and now memories we have to hold in our hearts. I know God decided he needed a REALLY, and I mean REALLY, good fisherman and hunter in Heaven and he now has one of the BEST! Wrap all those cherished memories around your hearts and share them with others. Our thought and prayers are with you in these coming days and always. Love and hugs to all. 3. Gordy will be missed at West Silent Lake a lot. Always happy and positive.
Blessings to Judy and family ??

  4. I am deeply saddened for the loss of Gordy. I remember the boat trip he took me on to see the baby loons. Gordy was one of the extraordinary people who brought light joy and kindness to others. He always had a smile, a hug, a story, and was hard at work, helping out, or doing something nice for someone else. He will be terribly missed. May the love and enthusiasm he had for life live on in all who knew him. He was a wonderful dear friend to my parents. We will think of him often as we are around the nature he so appreciated and keep his family in our prayers and good thoughts for strength and peace in this difficult time.

  5. Still in shock from the loss of our wonderful friend and neighbor, Gordy. He was always there with a smile, ready to help. He was so much fun and had a wonderful sense of humor. He leaves a void that can’t be filled. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family. We look forward to sharing our memories of him when we are with them this summer.

I’m very sorry to hear about Gordy. I’m shocked. You all have my deepest, deepest sympathies and hugs. He was a great guy; always had a smile on his face, especially when watching his grandkids in their activities May God give you comfort and strength to get thru these very tough times. Keep in mind that there’s an ornery little German up there to keep him in line and give him a bad time:)
