Jeanette Pederson Jeanette E. Eide was born on June 4, 1927 in Swedes Forest Township, Minnesota to Wilhelm and Clara (Knutson) Eide.  She was baptized and confirmed at Rock Dell Lutheran Church in Belview, of which she was a life-long member.  Jeanette attended country school at District 10 Swedes Forest and graduated from Belview High School in 1945.  On March 6, 1948 she was united in marriage to Kenneth G. Pederson at Rock Dell Lutheran Church, Rev. Christian Anderson officiating.  They purchased a farm west of Belview in 1950.  In later years, when Kenneth was unable to farm due to illness, they purchased a home in Belview.  Jeanette started working in the banking industry at a very young age.  First, she worked at a bank in Redwood Falls, and then was employed for many years at the Belview State Bank.  Jeanette’s pastimes included crocheting, handiwork, puzzles, cards, reading, and visiting with family and friends.  Jeanette enjoyed winters in Arizona and summers at her lake cabin on Rice Lake near Paynesville.  Jeanette also enjoyed traveling, meeting new people, and making new friends.  A highlight was a trip to Norway with her children.  The trip consisted of visiting ancestral homeland areas in Norway of both Jeanette’s and Kenneth’s families.  Later in life, she moved to Abbotsford, Wisconsin to be near her son Alwyn where she built new friendships.  Jeanette’s joy in life was her family, friends, and Rock Dell Church, which she always held close to her heart.

Jeanette is survived by her children: Sherry (Jim) Lee of Phoenix, AZ and Alwyn Pederson (Deb Watson) of Abbotsford, WI; grandchildren: Nicole Pederson (Andy Berkeland) of So. St. Paul, MN, Kent Pederson (Michelle Neece) of Abbotsford, WI; and Bethany Pederson of Eden Prairie, MN; sisters-in-law: Avis Luepke of Eagan, MN and Lorraine Eide of Brookings, OR; and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Kenneth in 1998, son Bill in 1994, daughter- in-law Madge in 2013, and her sister Bernice Huseby.

Blessed Be Her Memory

  2. I have many fond memories of being at the Pederson farm, family reunions and being with Kenny, Jennette and their kids- my cousins. Thanks to Sherri for reaching out to me. Jennette was always a cheerful and kind person.
Rock Dell Lutheran church is a special place. My mom and dad, Myron and Gena were married there on Christmas Day 1933.
My condolences to all in Jennettes family.
