Leslee HarmonLeslee “Liz” Elizabeth Harmon age 62 of Redwood Falls passed away Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Redwood Area Hospital.  Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon on Tuesday, November 15 at Church of the Nazarene in Redwood Falls.  Private family funeral services will be held.  Burial will be in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.  Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.

Leslee “Liz” Elizabeth Harmon was born March 1, 1954 in Detroit, Michigan to William and Marion (Oppegard) Betts.  Liz and Kenneth Harmon met on their first day of college at Olivet Nazarene University, and they were married a year later on June 16, 1973.  Liz and Ken were commissioned as officers in the Salvation Army from 1976 to 1983.  They were blessed with four children, and Liz was fortunate to be able to stay home with the children and home schooled them.  She loved spending time with all of her grandchildren, and enjoyed making special gifts for her family.  She also enjoyed planning fun family events.

Liz is survived by her husband Kenneth of Redwood Falls; children: Ann Harmon-Foy (special friend John Hultquist) of Redwood Falls, Aaron (Anna) Harmon of Larchwood, IA, Christine Harmon of Redwood Falls, Vashti (Tom) Sperl of Clements; grandchildren: Alexander Harmon, Melanie, Eric, Kate, Heidi, and Samantha Foy, Samuel, Isaac, Rebekah, and Hadassah Harmon, Emma, Thomas, Ava, Sophia, and Joshua Sperl; and sister Margretta Krestel.  She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Marion Betts.

    Ken and family, please except my condolences and love.Liz was so special and loved her family always. Ken may the Lord hang out with you in these days to comfort you. To the children I know and the grandchildren, hang on to the coat tails of Jesus He will see each of you through the pain of today and make your tomorrows brighter as you remember mom, grandma in the future.
