Albert D. LucioAlbert D. Lucio age 65 of Redwood Falls passed away on Tuesday, May 25, 2010 at his home after a lengthy illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, May 29 at St. Cornelia’s Episcopal Church at the Lower Sioux Community.

Visitation will be held beginning at 5:00 p.m. Friday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. and will continue at 11:00 a.m. Saturday at the church hall.  Interment is in St. Cornelia’s Cemetery.  Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Albert was born May 1, 1945 to Esther (Thomas) and Clifford Lucio Sr. in Redwood Falls.  He attended Bishop Whipple School on the Reservation and Morton High School.  Albert worked for the Minnesota State Highway Department/MN DOT.  He enjoyed fishing and hunting, particularly big elk hunting, and hunted in Colorado, Mexico and Wyoming.  Albert also liked dancing and spending time with all his nieces and nephews.  He was a member of the Morgan Sportsman’s Club and donated faithfully to the Special Olympics.

Albert is survived by sisters and brothers: Mary Loomis, Joe Lucio, Ruth Pacheco, Victoria Lucio, Frank Lucio, Suzie Rinderman and Diane Lucio; daughter Mattea Lucio; and many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and stepchildren.  He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters: Bernice, Leona and Josie; and brothers: John and Clifford Jr.
