Marcella WilhelmiMarcella M. Wilhelmi age 85 of Redwood Falls, formerly of Morgan, passed away Saturday, September 19, 2015 at Seasons Hospice House in Redwood Falls. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 24, 2015 at St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls with a 6:30 p.m. prayer service, followed by a Rosary service. Visitation will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. Private family burial will be in St. Michael’s Catholic Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marcella Marie (Schueller) Wilhelmi was born November 27, 1929 in Seaforth, Minnesota to John F. A. and Elizabeth (Bernardy) Schueller. She attended school near Seaforth and later at St. Anne’s Catholic School in Wabasso. On October 12, 1948, Marcella married LeRoy Joseph Wilhelmi at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Seaforth. After their marriage, the couple moved to Morgan where they resided until LeRoy’s death in September 2012, and Marcella moved to Garnette Gardens in Redwood Falls in October 2012. Marcella worked as a housekeeper at Sunwood Good Samaritan Care Center in Redwood Falls and later Gil-Mor Manor in Morgan for 15 years. In 1992, during her employment at Gil-Mor Manor, Marcella was awarded the WCCO Radio Good Neighbor Award for her outstanding service and dedication. Marcella was a member of St. Michael’s Catholic Church in Morgan where she was active in the CCW, and served as a Eucharistic Minister and Rosary leader.

Marcella is survived by her children: James (Connie) Wilhelmi of Rice, Jerome “Jerry” (Joy) Wilhelmi of Willmar, Janice (Michael) Schilling of Woodbury, Alan (Betty) Wilhelmi of Clements, Annette (Kurt) Taber of Aurora, CO, Denis (Karen) Wilhelmi of Morgan, Charles Wilhelmi of Redwood Falls, Joseph (Cindy) Wilhelmi of New Ulm, and Martha (Dave) Widmer of Redwood Falls.   She is also survived by 24 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; sister Magdalen Bergstrom of Marshall; sisters-in-law Dolly Perrizo of Redwood Falls and Margaret Schueller of Montevideo. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband LeRoy in 2012, brothers Leo, Sylvester, Richard, and Lawrence Schueller, and sister Rose Van Hecke.

    Was sorry to hear of the death of your mother. Our Deepest sympathy to all of your family. It is never easy to lose a loved one but knowing that they are in the Lords hand and their suffering is now over makes it some what easier.
