Margie NegenMargie Ann Negen, age 78 of Redwood Falls, passed away while surrounded by her family, on Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Seasons Hospice House in Redwood Falls. Memorial Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 25, 2018 at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. Visitation will be 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 24 AT THE CHURCH and will continue one hour prior to the service on Monday.  Burial will be held at a later date in the Redwood Falls Cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

Margie Ann (Peters) Negen was born June 9, 1940 on a farm near Clara City, Minnesota, to Heye and Fern (Quigley) Peters.  She was one of 8 children.  Margie attended school in Clara City.  She was baptized and confirmed at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Clara City, and it was there that Margie was united in marriage to James Negen on February 6, 1957.  The couple made their home in Renville where Margie worked part time at the dime store, and stayed home with their two children until they started school.  In 1969, the family moved to Redwood Falls, and Margie worked at Control Data, later known as Zytec and Artesyn, for 30 years.  Margie enjoyed cooking, baking, camping and fishing.  She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren; babies and young children were always drawn to her.  Margie and Jim loved dancing in their younger years and playing cards with family during holiday gatherings.

Margie is survived by her husband Jim; children: Deb (Dan) Hildebrandt of Redwood Falls, and Bob (Diane) Negen of Alexandria; grandchildren: Jeremy (Renee) Hildebrandt, Amy Hildebrandt, Cory (Janelle) Negen, and Cassie (Matt) Lanoue; great-grandchildren: Morgan, Jaylin, Seth, Blake, Alexis, Breck, Jordie, and Veya; and brothers: Heye Peters, Jr., Marvin (Karen) Peters, Harlan (Linda) Peters, and Jerry (Roxanne) Peters; and many nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers: Harry and Everet, and sister, Doris.
