Marjorie Bellig Marjorie “Marge” Gertrude Bellig age 76 of Redwood Falls passed away Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at her home surrounded by family. Visitation will be 1:00-3:00 p.m. Friday, August 7 at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church with a prayer service at 2:30 p.m. Online condolences may be sent at www.stephensfuneralservice.com. Stephens Funeral Service – Redwood Valley Funeral Home in Redwood Falls is assisting the family with arrangements.

Marjorie Gertrude Bellig was born November 22, 1938 in Browerville, Minnesota to Thomas and Martha (Drajna) Ostrowski. She graduated from high school and went on to college and became a teacher. Marge taught all levels of education in a country school, and then did daycare for many years. She worked at Dakota Inn for a number of years and at Jackpot where she was employed until her death. Marge married Tom Holscher and had three daughters: Pam, Janet, and Michele. They later divorced. She married Robert Bellig. Marge loved spending time with her family and baking with her grandchildren. She enjoyed taking road trips with her brother and her grandchildren, and taking cruises with her husband Bob and brother Kenny and his wife. Marge loved sewing all kinds of things for her children and grandchildren.

Marge is survived by her husband Bob Bellig; daughters Pam Panitzke, Janet (Greg) Bitker, and Michele (Gordy) Harazin; 7 step-children: Pete, Wayne, Jo, Gail, Sandy, Suzie, and Faye; 10 grandchildren: Ben, Tina, Alysa, Brandon, Brandee, Shawna, Brooks, Stephanie, Derek, and Courtney; 16 great-grandchildren and 2 on the way. She is preceded in death by her parents Tom and Martha and brothers Kenny and Buddy.

MARGE WAS A VERY CARE PERSON LOVE HER FAMILY DEARLY AND ALWAYS LOVED SEWING MATERIAL CHILDRENS STORY BOOKS FOR GRANDCHILDREN ,SHE ENJOYED TRAVELING TO ALL 50 STATES WITH HER FAMILY.I ENJOYED WORKING WITH HER AT JACKPOT .SHE SHARED MANY WONDERFUL MEMORIES WITH ME OF HER YOUNGER YEARS GROWING UP,ENJOYED ALL OF THEM. I WILL DEFINITELY MISS HER. SHE WILL ALWAYS BE IN MY PRAYERS.

    So sorry to hear Marge has passed away, I worked with her years ago at Wood Dale nursing home,would see her every once inawhile and always had time to stop and visit. Love and prayers to all her family. She was a joy to work with. Another angel is in heaven watching over you all.

  9. Sympathy and prayers to all Marge’s family. I remember visiting with her about books at the library and how she shared with me that she had went to school and was friends with one of our favorite Minnesota authors, laVyrle Spencer. She will be missed by many.
