Dear Darlyne, Paul, John, Julie. Sorry for posting this late as we were away from home and were shocked to hear the news. As we read the obituary, we recalled the support Gene provided for the school and staff. Always positive and supportive in his thoughts and deeds as we are sure he was for his family. Dear Darlyne, Paul, John, and Julie— Very sad today about your loss, but wanted you to know how much I appreciate all the great times that Glen and I were lucky to share with Gene and all of you. I remember so well what an ally Gene was for me when we both served on the school board. And of course the Danube FFA summer horse shows at our Glenmar Acres wouldn’t have been possible without the support of your entire family. I am making a donation to the Minneapolis Shriners Hospital in memory of Gene—it’s one of my favorite charities, too. Wishing you all peace as you remember how much this dear soul meant to you.
