I knew Shirley for a couple dozen years, mostly through he Senior Center in Tracy, where she was a cook (and a darn good one). People talk about another person being "real". Well, that describes Shirley to a "T". She was genuine and a straight-shooter. No phoniness. Just a good person to chat with. I wish the world had more Shirleys. It would be a better place, for sure.

I've known Shirley for over 60 years. We'd been visiting twice a year for the past several years until the lock downs. I'm so sorry hadn't been able to see her for awhile. She was the nicest person and always a joy to spend a couple hours with her. Still have all the memories of our teen years.
