Monica and family: My sincere sympathy to you. I honestly can say that I have never known such an inspirational couple as you and Werner. I feel so honored to have known him and worked with him. You two complimented each other in every way. So much fun to be with. I feel that the world has lost a wonderful man.

I could not have had a better father-in-law. Werner taught me so much about carpentry, tractors, combines, farming, farm land, engineering, engine mechanics, chemistry, welding, plumbing, local politics and life. It seemed like he knew something about everything. You can go the finest university in the land and not find the worldly knowledge that Werner had. There was no problem that he was afraid of. He always had a common-sense and efficient approach to solve it. He loved animals and there was no stray dog or stray cat that wouldn't get a scratch behind the ears. Werner was the kind of man that would go to a shopping mall and take a seat on the bench while you shopped. When you came back, he would be in a full out conversation with a complete stranger. Turns out, no one was a stranger in his eyes. He loved being with family and friends always. I'm a better man, father and husband because of him. When I think of integrity, honor and faith in God, Werner is who I think of. I know I'm not alone. The world has lost a shining example of charity and hope. I will miss my father-in-law and friend.
