Rosemary IversonRosemary (Schrupp) Iverson age 84 of Belview, formerly of Echo, passed away Friday, September 4, 2015 at Parkview Home in Belview. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 8 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. Visitation is one hour prior to services. Burial is in Rock Dell Cemetery. Rosemary (Schrupp) Iverson was born October 12, 1930 in Granite Falls, Minnesota to Frank and Rosa (Doose) Schrupp. She was baptized and confirmed at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. Rosemary graduated from Echo High School in 1948. On June 15, 1951 she married Bernard Iverson at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Wood Lake. After raising her children, Rosemary worked as a bookkeeper for many years at the Vesta lumberyard. After moving to Granite Falls, she worked as a cook and waitress. Rosemary was a volunteer driver for Western Community Action after she retired. Once entering Parkview, Rosemary was the president of the Resident Council and became an avid Bingo player. Rosemary especially enjoyed visits from her nieces and nephews. Rosemary held all offices in the American Legion Auxiliary, as well as offices of Rock Dell Ladies Aid. She was a great organizer for celebrations in Echo and Western Fest in Granite Falls. She was a great fisherwoman, loved to play cards, and spent many hours quilting and making lefse and doughnuts.

Rosemary is survived by her children: Rosalie (Craig) Kramer of Brandon, WI, Edith (Larry) Abrahamson of Belview, Eugene (Janice) Iverson of Parrish, FL, Brenda (Robert) Tracy of Woodbury, Harold (Nancy) Iverson of Fountain, CO, and Andrew (Pam) Iverson of Granite Falls; 5 grandchildren; 7 step-grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Bernard, and four brothers Herb, Ray, Frank, and Harry.

    So sorry to hear of your family’s loss.
    I have lots of good memories of visits to your house, riding horses next door and running uptown to get ice cream.
    Big families back then were lots of fun!
