Betty Lorraine was born to Charles and Gertrude Parker at the family farm near Lamberton, MN.   She completed her education at the District 77 Country School, Lamberton, MN.  On December 31, 1937, Lorraine was united in marriage to Gerald Snyder. They farmed in the Lamberton, Becker and Willmar areas before moving to Milroy in 1956, where they farmed until retiring.  They moved to Tracy in 1989.  Lorraine moved to O’Brien Court in 2010 and then to the Prairie View Healthcare Center in September, 2012.  Lorraine loved visits from friends, family and especially all those who called her "Little Grandma".  She loved to keep busy working out in her garden, crocheting afghans for all her children and grandchildren, collecting tiny keepsakes for her curio cabinet and working crossword puzzles. She enjoyed traveling with Gerald and later in life with her sisters-in-law Edith & Myrtle.  They were brave "80 something" travelers!  Lorraine delivered Meals on Wheels, and was a member of the Tracy Church of Christ and Willing Workers.

Lorraine is survived by four children; Gerry (Ruth) of Currie, David (Carole) of Milroy, Linda (Gary) Zick of Redwood Falls, and Dale of Mankato; 14 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, and 16 great-great-grandchildren; brother Warren (Ollie) Parker of Revere; sisters-in-law; Bernice Parker of Starbuck, and Myrtle Snyder of Cold Springs; and many other relatives and friends.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gerald, daughter Gwendolyn, daughter-in-law Jolene, siblings: Donald, Charles “Bud”, Maxine, Orel, Myron; and infant great-grandchild Ashley.

Blessed be her memory.
