Terrill “Terry” Alan Miller was born August 21, 1950 in Hendricks, Minnesota to John and Ruby (Christensen) Miller.  He went to school in Ruthton, graduating in 1968.  After high school, Terry went to live, go to school, and work in the “twin cities”.  While there he met and married Margaret Shanley on October 4, 1970.  To this union were born three children: Terry “T.J.”, David, and Elizabeth.  Terry and Marge separated and eventually married again.  Moving back to the Ruthton area, Terry began working for Marti Hardware working alongside Roy “Dutch” Miller as a plumber for the store.  His true passion was plumbing and he continued working as a plumber until February 2014.  Terry was a former member of the Lake Benton Fire Department for 20 years.  He was also a member of the Lake Benton Sportsmen’s Club, being one of four gentlemen to start the first Wild Game Feed that continues every year to this date.  On December 6, 1986 Terry married Joyce Becker at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Lake Benton.  They spent 32 years together.  He loved hunting, fishing (especially the Canada fishing trips), playing cards, and going on vacation with Joyce to the Black Hills.  Terry was a good and dedicated husband, father, grandfather, friend, brother, and plumber/maintenance man.  He was very proud of his 11 1/2 years of sobriety.  Terry loved a good joke and sometimes pulled a good prank on a friend or family member.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Joyce; sons T.J. (Sheila) of Chester, SD and David (Jennifer) of Lake Benton; daughter Elizabeth (Nathan) Wick of Sauk Rapids; nine grandchildren: Jalen, Kaylee, Avery, Logan, Gage, Corbin, Jacey, Sydnee, and Caden; brothers Jack of Tracy, Curtis of Marshall, Gary of Ruthton, and Dennis of St. Paul; and family overseer AJ Koob.  He is preceded in death by his parents, sisters Beverly and Marilyn, and good friends Mike “Fox” Nielsen and Danny “Mandez” Larsen.
