Dennis “Tim” Timgren

Dennis “Tim” Timgren age 69 of Westbrook, formerly of Redwood Falls, passed away April 24, 2010 at his home in Westbrook.

Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, April 28 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Westbrook.

Visitation will be held 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the Westbrook Funeral Home and will continue one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.  Interment is in the Westbrook Cemetery.  The Westbrook Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

Dennis “Tim” Timgren was born October 22, 1940 in Tracy, Minnesota to Harold and Ebba (Jessen) Timgren.  He attended school in Milroy until the 10th grade and then attended school in Redwood Falls, graduating in 1958.  Tim enlisted in the US Army right out of high school and was stationed in Germany.  On November 30, 1965, he received his honorable discharge.  Tim was united in marriage to Sharon Larsen on December 3, 1966 in Vesta, Minnesota.  Tim worked at the Ford dealership in Redwood Falls before moving to Westbrook in 1967 where he worked at Klasse Sales and Service as the Parts Manager.  Tim was a very active lifetime member of the VFW.  He served on the Westbrook School Board from 1979-2001, the Heritage Museum Board, and the Light and Water Commission.  He loved playing softball in his younger years, bowling, ice fishing, and taking care of his lawn and garden.

Tim is survived by his wife Sharon of Westbrook; sons Todd Timgren of Stillwater, MN, and Troy (Holly) Timgren of Sleepy Eye; mother Ebba Timgren of Dodge Center; siblings: Joyce Pekula of Omaha, NE, Beverly (Jim) Stucky of Mantorville, MN, Annette (Gary) Spiess of Mankato, MN, Wesley Timgren of Braham, MN; and a host of other relatives and friends.  He was preceded in death by his father Harold.
