Anna Margaret Warner age 86 of Walnut Grove passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center. 

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday May 22 at Old Westbrook Lutheran Church. 

Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. Tuesday and continue until the time of the service.  Burial is in the church cemetery.  Stephens Funeral Service – Walnut Grove Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. 

Anna Margaret (Kopperud) Warner was born August 26, 1925 in Brush Prairie, Washington, to Eimer and Linda (Mathiason) Kopperud.  She was baptized in Brush Prairie, and confirmed her faith at Old Westbrook Lutheran Church.  Anna Margaret began her schooling at a country school, and later graduated from Walnut Grove High School.  She furthered her education at MacPhail School of Music in Minneapolis, Minnesota.  On May 1, 1948, Anna Margaret was united in marriage to Earl Warner at Old Westbrook Lutheran Church.  She was a Walnut Grove area resident for nearly her entire life.  Anna Margaret was an active member of Old Westbrook Lutheran Church; she was the church pianist and choir director for a number of years, and she participated in many circles.  She taught piano lessons to countless students, and spent a lot of time volunteering at the Westbrook Good Samaritan Care Center.  She loved mowing lawn on her John Deere and tending to her flower gardens.

Anna Margaret is survived by her husband Earl; sons Leon (Karen) Warner of Glenwood, MN, Greg (Deb) Warner of Walnut Grove, Dean (Lois) Warner of Walnut Grove, Mark (Linda) Warner of Walnut Grove; daughter Marilyn (Tim) Grefe of Butterfield, MN; grandchildren: Amy (Brian), Sara (Todd), Kelly (Dale), Dan (Tiffany), Lowell (Stacy), Theresa (Brandon), Rita (Mike), Mandy, Meghann (Dustin), Gretchen, Bill, Katie; great-grandchildren: Riley, Brenna, Caden, Nolan, Taylor, Jackson, Collin, Blake, Addison, Peyton, Ethan, Emma, Drew, and 2 more expected this summer; brothers: Konrad Kopperud, Roger Kopperud, and Eli Kopperud.  She is preceded in death by her parents Eimer and Linda, sisters Eldora and Lorraine, and brothers Truman and Marlin.
